Summary of Minutes
The regular meeting of the City Council was
called to order by Mayor Bob Schabert in the
Katherine and Dan Wright were added to the
agenda as new business. Voges made a
motion to approve the agenda with the addition.
Kollmann seconded the motion. The motion carried with all in favor.
Kollmann made a motion to approve the written minutes
of the
Poehler made a motion to approve the bills
from the month of May as presented. Kollmann seconded the motion. The motion carried with all in favor.
Don Schaefer approached the council asking
for a simple lot division for their property as he has a buyer for a portion of
the property. Schaefer said that the
south part that has the office buildings on would be 2.3 acres portion and the
north portion is would be 4.39 acres. The south side is the portion that he has
someone interested in buying.
Kollmann made a motion to approve Resolution
Poehler made a motion to approve Resolution
#06-106 an Extension of Conditional Use Permit for Mineral Extraction with the
deadline of December 31, 2008 for gravel extraction and December 31, 2009 for
the reclamation. Kollmann
seconded the motion. The motion carried
with all in favor.
Poeher made a motion to approve the rezoning
Ordinance 06-102 for G & S Manufacturing.
Voges seconded the motion. The
motion carried with all in favor.
Voges made a motion to approve Ordinance
06-103 Rezoning property for Pastor Schwark. Kollmann seconded
the motion. The motion carried with all
in favor.
There was extensive discussion on the new
fence ordinance that is proposed. The big
item that residents need to be aware of is that if they want to be closer than
one foot of their property line they will be required to bring in a survey
showing where their property lines are located in respect to where they want to
put their fence.
Voges made a motion to approve Ordinance
06-104 Establishing Zoning Standards for Fence, Walls, and Hedges. Kollmann seconded the motion.
Poehler made a motion to approve Ordinance
06-105 Amending and Clarifying Portions of the Zoning Code of the City of
Kollmann moved to approve the Summary for Publication
of the Ordinances passed by the city council at the
