Wietecha shared observations from the debriefing meeting held by Nicollet following the August 24 tornado.  One suggestion that will likely be implemented is photo identification cards for all city employees so they can get through blockades.  Such cards would also help the people manning the blockages to identify people with legitimate reasons to enter the area.

Wietecha presented recommended city code changes to the council.  The changes, recommended by street and utilities committees are primarily to clarify, streamline, and update ordinances that have posed problems in the past.  After council discussion, the recommendations will be put into ordinance form to be adopted at the November meeting.

Schwartz made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Poehler seconded the motion.  The motion carried with all in favor.

.Respectfully submitted,

Bonnie Hubert
